ToggleWhat is Valve's Deadlock?
Deadlock is Valve’s new MOBA game. Its a 6v6 shooter, where you try to push lanes and dominate the map bit by bit. The genre might be a bit oversaturated, but Deadlock combines elements from different genres. Some classic MOBA features mixed with hero shooters. At the moment it seems to be doing great with over 40000 concurrent players and the game hasn’t even been announced yet. Time will tell how Valve develop it and will people keep their interest.
How to get into Deadlock playtest?
The easiest way to get into the deadlock playtest is to get invited by a friend who already has access. This doesn’t guarantee an invite but from what i’ve read its the best method to get in. It can take from a few minutes up to a few days.
The other way is just to get invited by Valve. I know, doesn’t seem likely. I think with the number of concurrent players growing rapidly, the amount of invites Valve sends out should go up gradually aswell. As far as I know the invites are random, but if you want to play Deadlock keep an eye on your steam notifications.
